Last week, jobs, custom times and short shifts
Last week. The thin row under each person is what they worked last week. Copy last week puts one person's row into this week. Copy everyone's last week does it for the whole team. The check then shows anything to fix.
Job that day. Someone can have a different job for one shift. A budtender who is the runner or the delivery person that day is not on a register. Open their box and pick the job.
On a register. Someone whose job is set to Set hours can be put on a register for part of a shift. Open their box and add the hours. It counts toward coverage. Roles are on the Team and roles tab.
Custom times. A shift can start at any half hour from 8 am. It can end up to 30 minutes after closing. Pick Custom, then the start and end.
Short shift. Anything under 7.5 hours is allowed and is marked Short.
Out. Use Out when someone calls out or has not started. The page stops suggesting that person.
What the draft week does
Nobody closes and then opens the next day.
The register team keeps every shift they can work.
Everyone has two days off in a row in the first week. For Julia and Khella that is Saturday, October 17 with Sunday, October 18.
In a later week the days Julia can work may leave Julia's days off apart. The Two days off tile then offers a week where everyone has two in a row. Some people work 4 shifts in it.
Nobody who closed on Saturday, October 17 is on Sunday, October 18.
Travis, Kendra, Khella and Trey have the same shifts and jobs as on the published week of October 11. Peter has the same days.
Travis is the runner and delivery person on every shift in the draft, as on the published week, so Travis is not on a register. Change the job in the box for any day Travis is on a register.
Peter is the lead delivery person, so Peter is not counted on a register. If Peter is on a register for part of a shift, open the box and add the hours.
What this page assumes
The store is open 10 am to 11 pm Monday to Saturday, and 10 am to 7 pm on Sunday. Set up starts at 9:30 am. Close down takes 30 minutes.
Every shift over 6 hours has a 30 minute unpaid lunch, in every role. Paid hours leave it out.
This page does not set lunch times, so it cannot check them. The lead on shift decides when each person goes.
Coverage counts the people scheduled on a register each half hour. Lunches are not counted.
The leads are Julia, Johnni and Peter. The supervisor is Katherine. Any of the four counts as the lead on shift, whatever the job that day. Roles can be changed on the Team and roles tab.
A runner or delivery person is not on a register. The lead delivery person is not counted on one, and can be put on one for set hours.
Closing means being on shift when the doors shut at 11 pm. Opening means starting before 11 am. Sunday shuts at 7 pm, so a Sunday shift is not a close. It is an opening after a Saturday close.
Sunday is checked against the Saturday before it, which is on last week's schedule. The week of October 11 is built in from Push. After that, New week moves the week on the page to Last week.
A lead can work up to 8 hours, as on the published schedule. Everyone else stays at 7.5.
Two days off in a row can run across two weeks: last Saturday with this Sunday, or this Saturday with the Sunday after it.
Kendra can work a full day on Thursday or on Friday, not both. The draft uses Friday. If you change Kendra's days on the Team and roles tab, the page follows your days.
New York's meal period rules may ask for more than one 30 minute lunch. Sunday: a second break of at least 20 minutes between 5 and 7 pm, when a shift starts before 11 am and runs past 7 pm. Swing and Close: 45 minutes, in the middle of the shift, when a shift of more than 6 hours starts between 1 pm and 6 am. Confirm with Brittney how both are handled.
Cost uses $26.43 an hour, the January to August payroll average for selling roles. It shows on this page only, not on the saved PDF.
The saved PDF lists everyone. The schedule keeps to one page when it can. A very tall week goes on two pages.
